Multilingual Learners Program

Many languages. One welcoming community.

A home base for families learning in more than one language — clear program information, a Family Welcome Center, peer tutoring, and resources, offered in the languages families speak.

Support offered in families' home languages, including: English Español 中文 العربية Português 한국어 & more

How it works

One clear path, from hello to belonging.

No family should have to guess how school works. Here is the path we help every family walk.

Reach out

Contact the Family Welcome Center — by form, phone, or in person. You'll be greeted by someone who can help.

Get oriented

Understand enrollment, how U.S. schools work, and what support your child qualifies for — explained in your language.

Get matched

Connect your child with classroom language support and, where offered, a peer tutor through the Bridge Project.

Stay connected

Keep up with events, resources, and translated updates so you're never navigating school alone.

What we offer

Practical support, not paperwork.

Every part of the program exists to answer a real question a family might have.

  • Family Welcome Center

A first stop for enrollment, questions, and getting settled — a friendly face who speaks your language.

  • Enrollment help

Step-by-step guidance through registration and school selection, with forms explained clearly.

  • Translation & interpretation

Language assistance so meetings, letters, and conversations happen in the language you understand best.

  • Resource library

A curated directory of enrollment, academic, and community resources for multilingual families.

  • Bridge peer tutoring

Older students mentor younger multilingual learners — homework help and encouragement in a shared language.

  • Events & belonging

Open houses and gatherings that celebrate every family's culture and keep the community connected.

The Bridge Project

Students helping students find their footing.

A student-led tutoring model: older students who once navigated a new language themselves mentor younger multilingual learners. It's homework help — and just as importantly, proof that the road gets easier.

Families can ask about a tutor through the Family Welcome Center. Older students interested in mentoring can reach out too.

What a match looks like

Every pairing is built around the languages a student already speaks.

Homework help — in a comfortable, supportive setting
Language bridge — explained in home language and English
Mentorship — role models who walked the same path
